¡VISITAMOS LONDRES!

Durante la mañana del día 23 de febrero, hemos realizado una actividad desde el área de Inglés donde visitabamos Londres.

En varias dependencias del centro se han montado varios talleres los cuales han sido muy variados (aeropuerto, avión, restaurante...). La visita a los mismos ha sido en forma de circuito, donde todos los grupos visitaban todos los talleres durante 15 minutos aproximadamente.

El acto ha transcurrido de forma fantástica. Nuestros alumnos/as se han implicado en todos los talleres hablando en Inglés y han disfrutado muchísimo.

Let's Go to London Project!

Hello Everyone,

Andalucia day is almost here and to celebrate we have many exciting things next week. We're preparing a very interesting project for Miguel de Cervantes. On Tuesday the 23rd of February we have the "Let's go to London project". All students from the 5 year old class to 6th grade will participate. In the project we will visit:
A travel agency
A restaurant
A clothes shop
A toy shop
The airport and then
The airplane.

Students have memorized dialouges for each situation. In some places they will be the customers or passengers in other places they will be the waitor, shop assistant, flight attendant etc.

Here is an example dialouge for 3rd grade in the toy shop:

Customer : Good afternoon!
SHOP ASSISTANT: Good afternoon! Can I help you?
Customer: Yes, please.
SHOP ASSISTANT: What do you need?
Customer : I need a ________________
SHOP ASSISTANT: Do you like this ____________?
Customer : Yes, I do.
SHOP ASSISTANT: OK. What colour do you like?
Customer : I like the blue _____________
Customer : How much is it?
SHOP ASSISTANT: It is ____________ pounds.
Customer: Here you are, ____________ pounds.
SHOP ASSISTANT: Thank you. Have a good day!
Customer: Thank you. You too!
Shop assistant: : Good bye.
Customer: Bye.

All students have been working hard and we're very excited for our let's go to London project! Thank you to all the mothers and teachers who have helped us prepare!

Celebración del Día de la Paz y No Violencia

El día 29 de Enero, celebramos como es habitual a partir de las 12 de la mañana el Día de la Paz y No Violencia.

Los alumnos/as de 5º y 6º curso han interpretado con flauta dulce el "Himno de la Alegría" y posteriormente, se ha escenificado con un baile la canción "Los niños queremos la Paz" del grupo 3+2. El acto ha sido precioso y tod@s hemos disfrutado muchísimo.

4th Grade Bilingual Systems of the Body

The 4th graders have just finished a unit on the systems of the body. We learned about 4 systems: the digestive, excretory, circulatory and respiratory systems. The students made posters of the different systems and their important organs. Here you can see the videos of the students explaining the systems and showing their posters.

Today, thursday the 28th of January, we prepared for the day of Peace. We put our handprints on large posters on the patio. We are all excited for the day of Peace!

Snow in Lora del Río

It snowed in Lora del Río! It snowed on Sunday the 10th of January 2010! It was very cold but we were all very happy. This is the first time it has snowed in Lora in 56 years. Can you believe it? Thank you Teacher Manolo for the pictures! What did you do in the snow? Did you make a snowman? Did you throw a snowball? Did you make a snow angle? Or did you try to catch a snowflake on your tounge?
